Dartmouth Outing Club
Mt. Lincoln Construction, Inc. has now started the structural renovation of the historic Dartmouth Outing Club cabin located on Donner Summit, Ca. This cabin was built in the mid 1940’s using recycled timbers from the railroad snow sheds, constructed to protect trains from snow slides. This is an example of the latest opportunity to use the unique talents developed during renovations to historic cabins from the shores of Lake Tahoe and in the Sugar Bowl ski resort. The skills of Mt. Lincoln Construction, Inc. employees and their commitment to structure preservation have been recognized and have earned awards in local publications. We will update this project periodically as it moves forward. www.docnc.net

Tahoe Donner "Green Machine"
This was a typical 1980's style spec house with no cohesion in style and very inefficient in its energy use. Bartolini Designs and the client's vision was to transform the house into a "green" Greene and Greene style arts and crafts mountain home, while utilizing state of the art technology and being sensitive to the environment. All existing wood exterior decks were removed and replaced with fire proof paving systems. All new insulation, high performance windows and doors, and electrical and plumbing systems were installed. We used only sustainable growth materials and also installed a geothermal heating system, removing the old in-efficient forced air system and retrofitting a hydronic floor heating system. The home was a joy to build with superb craftsmanship at all levels, with the clients environmental views paramount to the end product.
